Week 3
Monday: We stareted the day of in digital literacy with designing an ice-cream cone using a specific color template/theme as well as showing the class our early sketch on what it will look like. Later we watched a documentary Dreaming is a natural part of sleep, typically occurring during the REM (Rapid Eye Movement) stage. According to the documentary, scientists believe dreams serve several psychological and neurological functions. Potential explanations for why we dream include helping the brain process emotions, consolidate memories, simulate threats or challenges, and even enhance problem-solving abilities. The documentary highlights that dreaming may be the brain’s way of making sense of our experiences and preparing us for waking life. As we ended the day by giving our 'dream speaches'.
Tuesday: We were at the auditorium signing more forums for the whole day as well as getting officially introduced to some of the staff and some of the new students comming in for tv production & broadcasting.
Wednsday: I wish there was more to say, but unfortunately it's more of the same thing minus the signing of papers. As we had to leave school due to the water shortage. That's kinda it actually.
Thursday: I am not exagerating when I say it was more of the same thing minus writing down on forums. However we did get a rather long talk about how we should respect the workers and appliences there as well as not take any of them with us past school hours. We were also shown area's of the school we haven't been to like the Gym (I didn't even know we had one).
Friday: Finally we were given a test with a series of questions at the start of the morning about relating to the films we watched the last few weeks. As later on we were visited by formor students of Nemisa and discussed what they were doing in their respected fields (mostly in graphic design) as well as showing us their designs for a bottle cap logo. It was stated by one of our educators that they would be our contact for trying to get into the animation and digital design industry.
